since music video channels no longer play music videos,
artists are turning to commercials for air/play time.
this is nothing new, it's more like cutting out the middle man i suppose...
i personally think it can be a great new medium
so long as we don't forget who's pimping who..& for what.
i used to love making paper dolls when i was a kiddie,
so this converse/n.e.r.d/santogold/julian casablancas collabo made me smile :)

excellent!
i ono about cutting out the middle man.
that said, pharrell doing converse commercials is less of a disappointment to me than saul williams doing nike ones...
he founded the billionaire boys club so you know he's all the way down with the capitalist ethic.
yea b,
i am definitely saddened that we don't have stations like muchmusic (back in the day) and mtv (back in the day) for artists to express their tunes visually. i am still hopeful that the crafty ones will say what they have to say via these new mediums...y'know? saul doing nike was shocking though- that really came outta left field..
"still hopeful that the crafty ones will say what they have to say via these new mediums"
